Players in college basketball are not paid as of now. At least not past their scholarships. This leaves players with not much money and living under cautious conditions. The players are tempted by outside as well as inside forces to take all types of compensation. THAT IS AGAINST THE RULES of NCAA! NCAA Basketball players cannot work as they already have hectic basketball & academic schedules. The idea is universities should pay $20,000 or so a year to each player seeing how colleges make billions off of them. Thoughts?
Our minds have been tuned into the Marvel style of comic movies. It’s colorful cinematography & sharp witty scripting as well as action packed fighting scenes. However, don’t sleep on DC.
We all enjoyed the trilogy of Christian Bale as Batman, but don’t stop there. Henry Cavill is truly standing, or should I say flying high as the Man of Steel. And although we haven’t received a back story based on Ben Affleck as Batman (which we never will), he put on a show in BvsS! As far as Suicide Squad, it takes some getting used to but I’ve come to love it! NO MORE HATING JARED LETO!!! And hey, how cool is the Flash...I can’t wait for his solo.
All in all, DC sticks to the comic book universe style of movie making with bunches of one liners & artistic delivery visually. Also, the storyline & storytelling. My point is I’ve awoken to find that DC deserves respect & admiration despite my loyalty to Marvel & their own order of highs and lows as well in movie making.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, is it possible to be the best player in the league on a bad team? If so, Antetokounmpo (On-tay-too-koonm-po) is it! Standing 7 feet tall, and having guard like maneuvering ability, as well as arms as long as Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four, he is at the top of the list in the NBA. Russell Westbrook won MVP last year on a team holding no threat towards the playoffs and even less a championship. So, the question remains, is Giannis the best?
History has proven that music rarely survives the changes between generations. Most parents don’t like the music of their children, at least not right away. The photo above of “Lil Uzi Vert”, a “Trap” music artist...which is a variation of rap...is one of the popular artists in the last 2 years. The music is a combo of singing & rapping either in an annoying but catching tone or “mumble” rap flow.
Just as a reference point, my mom hated 2pac when she first heard him cursing out Biggie. Years later would know every word of the song. Also, the elders of the 90s thought Snoop was ignorant but you can now find Snoop on a cooking show with Martha Stewart being himself.
In history, there’s no genre of music regarded as awful by the youth of that time...and I doubt “Trap” music is any different...don’t be old! Better yet, be proud to be!!
